The Mexican Wolf (Canis lupus baileyi), is the largest canid that exists in Mexico, it is characterized by being smaller than the common wolf (Canis lupus), it is a social species by nature since they form pairs or groups of 3 to 8. individuals called packs that are generally wolves from the same family, however they can live together and even adopt wolves from other packs, their fur ranges from white, gray to various shades of brown and black, their fur is dense and waterproof and their senses of sight, smell and hearing are quite well developed.
In the packs there is an alpha male, who is the leader of the family and the other members of the pack follow a hierarchy. The omega wolf is the Wolf most rejected by the pack and is the one with the least hierarchy. Hierarchies can change over time.
Reproduction:
Gestation lasts between 60 and 63 days, they give birth to 4 to 7 puppies per litter, although up to 11 pups have been counted in one birth.
